As the temperature rises, many users choose to use sun-dried methods to dehydrate the forages to reduce the cost of forage treatment. Is it better for pasture to be exposed to the sun or to dry it? How to deal with forage better?
Is it better to expose the forage to the sun?
Compared with drying, pasture exposure has a shorter period and high pasture treatment efficiency. However, high temperature exposure is more likely to cause nutrient loss caused by cell death of pasture. At the same time, the taste, fragrance and color of pasture will be damaged whether it is exposure or drying. Therefore, even if the temperature rises, it is not recommended to dehydrate the grass by exposing it to the sun or drying it.
How to deal with forage better
Dewatering treatment of forage can choose a special forage dryer, which is developed and produced according to the characteristics of the forage. The forage is processed in large quantities quickly, with short cycle and low cost. The dried forage has good color, low nutrient loss and high palatability, which increases the feed intake of poultry and livestock. The process flow: fresh pasture is transported to the tumble dryer by a conveyor, and the moisture content of the pasture is quickly reduced by fully contacting with low-temperature hot air. After drying, the moisture content of the forage is about 12%, which is convenient for preservation or export.
