A feed pellet production line is an integrated system designed to convert raw materials such as grains, oilseeds and other additives into compact pellets suitable for animal consumption. The initial stage involves grinding and mixing the raw materials to achieve a uniform mixture; after mixing, the feed mixture needs to be tempered. This process involves adding steam or water to soften the raw materials, making them easier to shape into pellets, while also enhancing nutrient absorption during digestion; the tempered feed passes through a die under high pressure and temperature to form dense pellets that can maintain their shape during handling and transportation; after pelleting, the hot product needs to be cooled to stabilize the structure and prevent deterioration; finally, the cooled pellets are packaged for distribution or storage.
Widely used in corn, wheat, barley, oats, sorghum, soybean meal, straw, forage, etc.
The working principle of the feed pellet production line is a comprehensive process based on physical processing and thermodynamic treatment, which converts powdered feed raw materials into high-density pellet feed. The production line first cleans and removes raw materials such as corn and soybean meal through the raw material receiving system, and uses the primary cleaning screen to remove large particle impurities. The raw materials are crushed to a particle size of 1.5-3.0mm by a hammer mill and then enter the batching system. The mixing process is completed in a double-shaft paddle mixer, and the mixing uniformity of CV≤5% is achieved within 90-120 seconds. At the same time, liquid raw materials are added through a high-pressure atomization system. Saturated steam is used in the conditioning stage to raise the moisture content of the material to 16-18% and the temperature to 85-95℃ to promote starch gelatinization. The material is then forced into a ring die and extruded under pressure to form pellets.
